TV Configuration on New 2017 Sunseeker with low profile digital antenna

Okay so I've searched the forums with no success. Have new 2017 Sunseeker MBS with a new low profile Digital TV antenna. I am unable to scan any cable tv channels. It picks up over the air channels fine. With the old digital antenna, you had to power of the antenna booster. The new antenna has no switch. Does the Jensen JWM6A have to be in a certain mode to receive cable channels. I go into the menu and specify scanning from both cable/sat box and or wall antenna and it only scans over the air digital channels. Called Coach Net, but tech had no clue. Anyone else with the latest model have issues or able to help? Thanks in advance.

All antennas can pull in digital signal and they work just like the older crank up style.

You still have an antenna booster. To scan for cable channels you need to turn that off. Typically it is on the same plate where the TV plugs in. The plug may be hiding the little button that turns it off.

And I would add you must select cable on the television prior to scanning. But as stated above the booster Must be off.

I have a MBS 2016 Sunseeker and my tv is a Jensen (12 volt) and works great. I have a switch hidden in cabinet above the door for the booster (i keep it on except when I hook up my dish outside) and for the antenna it is a King Jack. There is a switch on the side of the antenna on the ceiling once the antenna is operative you will see lights indicating the reception. Just turn the antenna to pick-up the best reception then have your tv do a scan for channels, your tv must be on "air".

For cable you will have to switch the TV cable on different outlet

Thanks

Thanks Bill, you were right on. The very small button was hidden behind a cable plugged into that panel. Once I found it and turned the amplifier off, everything worked as it should.

sgtlm17, Thank you for the input. I was aware of that point but I'm sure it will help others.

Polariste, Thanks for your response also, but on the new low profile antenna, there is no switch like on the older model. It is where Bclemens advised that it was. Again, Thanks Bill, we really appreciate you taking the time to monitor the forum.

Brian actually...but I answer to just about anything. That's what marriage does to a person.

Sorry, don't know where I got that. I agree that marriage does that. We will celebrate 50 this year.

No worries. I will say "Bill" seems to be the guess of choice. So you may have seen it on here in another post...either Bill or Bruce, I can't remember which.

On ours when you turn off the antenna (the button next to the power socket) the circuit goes to cable. Remember to go to the tv menu to change the input to cable. Then the auto scan to find channels.
