Of course, the problem is most circuits don't support a "one way path" unless they use a relay...and, as I posited, if you leave the key on the path will continue to be hot and the relay will stay energized. If you then hit your house batteries with 13.5 to 14 volts, some of the current will end up in your TV battery. Not the best and an easy way to kill you TV battery with house loads.
