I carry 2 spare fuel filters and 2 gallons of clear kerosene along for those instances of b5-20 pumps and no other choices. If you haven't been burning bio diesel and you put it in, expect trouble. Thus: extra filters and some hot fuel to get it going.

"Now true, ethanol in gasoline does reduce mpg for many vehicles."

This rotten mileage is the reason ethanol is required even in non farm states.

The Gov can pound his chest about the wonders of ethanol cleaning up exhaust gasses , while collecting 10-20% more in fuel taxes paid per gallon.

Ethanol, boob bait for the Bubbas , but a God send to big spending buroRats.

Compare apples to oranges ??

If you aren't driving a Mercedes diesel, you are just blowing smoke on this particular thread.

Non-bio Diesel in Cedar Rapids, IA

I am new to diesel vehicles and have been looking for non-bio diesel in Cedar Rapids, IA. Finally stumbled into a station that sells it. Here it is:

Doubt you can actually find diesel w/o ANY bio in it. If the fuel contains 5% or less biofuel, there is no requirement to label or disclose.

It depends a lot on where you live. In Nevada I can't fine biodiesel currently and it costs 20 cents less than gas.
