I had asked this question to several different MBZ service techs for my 24S. I was told 10,000 mi. for the first service. Just be very careful who you chose to change the oil /filter and that they know Sprinter engines. I would now use ONLY a MBZ dealership. I learned the hard way after letting a general RV dealership who was taking care of warranty issues, go ahead and do my first service. They put an aftermarket filter in wrong, it blew all my oil and ruined my engine. Their error cost me my vacation (a new engine had to be shipped from Germany), and cost them over $20,000.
