I'll be doing mine this weekend. I'll be emptying water in the lines though before we go home - too many nights coming up in the low 30's still. I might put a little antifreeze back in the traps to be safe as well.

I have another question for this thread - if you're always on electric do you keep your battery hooked up? In the past we've camped at electric and non-electric state park sites so I've always brought my battery along. Not sure if I need it anymore.

We keep our battery hooked up all season. I keep an eye on the water level.

I was just reading some other threads, that seems to be the way to go. Any idea why? Does anything actually need it?
We're heading up to the campground today. Got everything ready yesterday, I think I only need to get the battery out of the basement.

Well our first night is in! We couldn't drive to the temp site where our camper is parked so we had to walk in. No big deal since the camper is parked on the first road. We were able to drive to our perm site, which is good because that is where the heavy stuff was going. Fire ring, bricks for around fire ring, stone, deck box, shed, etc....we removed the old brick that was around the ring (it was all cracked) and got our fire ring together and the brick laid out. We will level it next trip. We did all minor repairs to the camper and I unpacked everything! I can't believe I found space for it all and I have a TON of storage left. We didn't put the shed up because it was windy and cold today so we will do that when it is bit warmer (if it ever warms up). Still can't move our camper or bring in crusher dust yet as the roads are too muddy. They even still have snow banks!! Plus, no water yet but the shower building was open. We did not de-winterize yet as it is supposed to be pretty cold yet. I loved every minute of it and can't wait to go back. Today, I am sore and tired but it was well worth it!

Does anyone know the approximate cost to fill the two propane tanks on the camper?

It really depends where you go. Figure $60 to $80 around here for both. If you do it up in Lakewood it might be more I haven't checked yet.

Last year our campground charged $35 for a 30#. Local gas station charged $31 for a 30#. After talking to other seasonals we contacted a local LP dealer. They rented us a 100# tank for $1 a year and $60 for the fill. I told them where I wanted the tank, about 10' away from the camper, and they buried the line at no additional charge. It's hooked up to the auto change over in place of one of our 30# tanks. When it's empty, hasn't happened yet, the auto change over switches to our other 30# on board tank. We call them and they come to replace the 100# tank. Big savings and less hassle. Something you might want to consider.

Propane filling costs in Canada for 30 lbs at Costco $21.00 each. I don't go elsewhere as they are always the best deal, have a spare cylinder I rotate through.

Our Seasonal park opens May 15th, this year 2 days before May long weekend. The water system will be absolutely strained with all the clean up. They have 250 sites on 1 deep well. I run 2 filters to remove Iron.

And we are parked...we still have a lot of work to do and the site is not level at all so it took a lot to level the camper....then it started to settle so it needs to be leveled again.

It end up costing $54 and some change to fill both tanks...not too bad.
