Golf carts
Who's got em. Once we're at camp the cars are pretty much parked and our cart becomes the mode of travel. Let's see your buggy

We just bought ours last fall. We only had a couple of weeks left in the season so we haven't even had it at the CG yet. Bought it from a dealer who delivered it right to our house. It's been sitting in our garage since then.
Here's the only pic we've gotten of it so far. It was still in the dealer's parking lot at the time.

It only took one trip to Fort Wilderness and we realized we need one. Or two.[emoji4] (hey, I got a deal & wife approved.)
It's great around the yard too.
They're 2005 Yamaha 48v. They both were stock lowriders but that didn't last long adding some bolt on items.

2016 gas EZGO TXT. We had an electric 36V ezgo but it was short on run time so we bought this one brand new. This is a pic of it the day we brought it home..

I'd like a golf cart, but I can't convince my wife to drive along behind me in it, to get it to where we're going.

We aren't old enough to use a golf cart yet. Still use our feet and bicycles .

Us too but at our seasonal campground there are some very nice older folks that have them and we love seeing this. These people would be limited to their site if they didn't have one. Love when they stop to chat for a few minutes or simply wave as they go past, checking things out. Some of the golf cart owners have great pride in their rigs and love keeping them clean and looking good. The top speed we have seen in our campground is about 3mph. Love camping with the senior crowd.
No kids racing the golf carts around in our campground.

Then of course you have things like this on pretty much all the major holidays:
It's fun to decorate your cart and have a parade around the CG.

I'm at a an age where I have to justify a purchase. I'd consider having one for 1/3 the price used carts go for.

You ARE responsible for your actions on a golf cart, no matter where you are. You will get a DUI no matter what kind of wheels you are on if you are on any roadway and get caught or have an accident of some kind. I saw where a guy on a riding lawn mower got a DUI. Also, a lady died in the Villages, Florida this past week. She had been hit by another lady driving a golf cart on a golf cart path and died 13 days later.

You are absolutely correct, at least in NJ. That exact scenario happened to a friend of mine. He was drinking and used his "motorized vehicle" lawn tractor to go down the block and get another picnic table. A trooper saw this and words were exchanged. He was charged DUI and 6 month loss of license for operating a motorized vehicle while intoxicated.
Another fact, even if you're on private property you can be arrested and charged even though you were not on public highways.
With that said, I dont even allow open containers in my cup holders on my golfcar. It's not a booze car.

We do all lawn maintenance on our lots in our camp ground, so the cart double duties. Various people have different attachments, rollers, spreaders, I'm the trailer guy

Well mine is not a golf cart per say it could be called a mini but actually its a Cricket and very portable. Made in two models mine happens to be the sport model and the other looks just like a mini golf cart. They are very portable and Can be loaded in back of a pickup and some have even added a place to carry on back of 5th wheel. Later RJD

So I guess this doesn't fly in our GATED community?

They're all sealed, you're good. As long as the person onboard that claims possession is 21 or over.
The "GATED" is irrelevant. If they were open, it would be an open alcoholic beverage container violation and could get you a field sobriety check. And then we know the rest.
