I use a cup of bleach, a cup of calgon, and a cup of laundry soap. I have seen some people use dawn dish soap now too but I still use the cheapest laundry soap i can find. Also people say the powdered calgon works the best but most places now only have the liquid so i use that.

We got lucky last fall and scored 2 near new sheds. Neighbor wasn't renewing his site and gave these to us.

you really scored! we had a seasonal not return also, but the shed is metal, big and once they left, it is the property of the campground. so we can't take it off their lot. i don't need anything big, just for the gardening items. Happy Camping! Kim

Well, another season has come and gone. I closed up the campsite 2 weeks ago after I sold my Coachman 295RLDS. I still return every weekend to mow the grass and start blowing the leaves.
I am ordering a 2017 Salem Villa Estate 395RET In December for a mid April delivery. It is a new floor plan and should work well for us.
I miss camping already, got a long winter ahead.
I hope you all get things closed up tight and have no issues this winter.

Move the shed, spit wood, stacked wood, put stone walkway in and several other task. All this took 5 days to complete. We had plenty of help for the main move of camper and deck. Pizza's , beer's and a big thanks to all the helpful camper friends

Will get to enjoy this for a couple of weeks, then we close up.

Great thread, guys. I hope to learn a few things during my time here (I'm kinda surprised there's not a separate sub-group for seasonals).
After five years of pulling the camper to campgrounds all over Pennsylvania, we have decided to give seasonal camping a try. Our first season will start in April, 2017. The place we chose is Buttonwood Campground in Mexico, PA. We made this decision based on a few realities (for us).
1. We kept coming back to the same campground because it checked all the boxes of fitting our needs. Among other things... Swimming pool, riverside campground with canoeing on-site, lots of kids activities, friendly owners, clean bathhouses, beautifully landscaped... And the whole campground is flat... No hills.
2. We didn't realize when we got into camping the amount of advanced planning needed to get the "good sites" at the better quality campgrounds. Sometimes, if you don't book 10-11 months out, you're kinda buggered.
3. We got tired of all the work for half weekends. Get in on Friday before dark and spend a couple hours setting up. Sunday morning, spend a couple hours cleaning up, hooking up, and then off for home (at the good sites, there's always someone coming in behind you). We found ourselves trying to squeeze all the "fun" into a 14-hour window on Saturday. I didn't mind all that much, but the DW wanted full weekends, which includes Sunday afternoons.
4. Our kids are a little older now and are more involved with summer activities at home... Golf leagues, basketball leagues, and educational camps at Penn State, makes it that much harder to schedule camping even a few months in advance. With our seasonal only 50-minutes away, it gives us the luxury of coming home for an activity, and maybe drive back the same day.

So... Given all this, We went with a seasonal site, mid April through October 31. The campground is about 25% seasonal and 75% transient, which is perfect for us. We like developing relationships, but also like meeting new people too. Looking forward to learning more from this thread. Thanks again for the info. FRF's Rock!

KDHfan you're doing what we did 2 years ago, did the same as you for 4-5 years then settled in at our favorite spot. Going on our 3 season next year. Really love not having to pack up early on Sunday. Only gripe we have is the seasonal cost is quite high & goes up $150+ each year.
We are now looking in to a park model & sell off the rig.

We have our seasonal in FL since 2013, owned lot. We were also considering a park model but have recently reconsidered.Our RV resort is probably 70% park models, true park models not destination trailers like the Cedar Creek Cottage.For the most part, park model construction is not comparable to even the lowest level fifth wheel, which makes sense as they are not built to go down a highway.On average, the destination trailers seem to be a little higher quality, the Cottage being the best.

In addition to the quality of build issues, both park models and destination trailers will give you nowhere near the storage you enjoy with a fifth wheel.

We were able to get our fiver out prior to impact by Mathew with no issues, a little surprising after not moving it in more than 2.5 years. The park models and destination trailers didn’t fare so well, even with us not taking a direct hit.

We went seasonal in Michigan 4 years ago. May 1 - Oct 31. I am in Brooklyn, love it here. Our kids are grown, so we only take our grandkids maybe once a month. ( they are very busy with sports, even in summer) there really is not much for kids here in the campground, 1 playground. No swimming etc. Doesn't bother me at all. $1,450. A year. $90 total for electric. Free tank pull once a month, any more than that, and it's $20. We are retired, and me and the dog spend most of our time here. Hubby retired in may, and has other interests. There is so much to do in this area, IF I wanted to. One more weekend to close up and then will be counting the days until may!
