It's a great way to get more out of an RV. You can still take your RV on trips but when it's parked, it's not in a storage lot, it's ready for you to spend a weekend. Cold beer in fridge, wood is ready to start a campfire.
Most RVs never move though, once set on the site, unless it's sold or a new one is purchased.
We are starting our 5th season being seasonal and love the experience and value the great people we have met and become friends with.

We've been seasonal campers for about 6 years now. I almost feel bad that I can't really participate in about half the conversations on the site. Towing, weight limits, packing, storage, where to stay while on the road, etc... We don't have to deal with any of that.
Now if anyone wants to have a discussion on decks or sheds, I'll be there.
Being seasonal has it's own pros and cons but we really enjoy it. There always seem to be new people coming in or leaving every year but we usually make quite a few friends with the people that do stick around. It's difficult not to when you see them pretty much every weekend.
We just view it as a summer home with a built in community of friendly neighbors and lots of things to do every weekend.

Nailed it [emoji1318]
Exactly some of the many reasons we enjoy our seasonal site as well
It is not for everyone but it works for us - we did the weekend warrior thing for almost 10 years (even to Disney World in our first fiver) and we now enjoy the short drive, unlock the door, light a fire and relax with our neighbors....it is actually a running joke about who can get there first for the weekend [emoji91][emoji484]all summer

We live full time in our campground and it cost us $475 a month for two sites. Could not imagine paying $1000 or two. Both are full hook up and water is not shut off in the winter. We are 30 miles south of Cincinnati in KY. Going to be 12 degrees tonight.

Here was our last seasonal site in Northern Minnesota. I built a monstrous deck with screen porch. The pic shows it near completion.
The other two pics is our new lot the resort is constructing for us. This was last Autumn when they were laying in the plumbing/lines. It's also in Northern Minnesota, near Bemidji.
Our new Wildwood will be delivered and set up about Late April this year.

Who needs a dock when you can fish off your deck. Most of our dock and seawall are under water. Water is receding no damage. Snow, warm weather and rain hit us hard but we're drying out.

This past weekend temps at our seasonal site were in the low 50's. Arrived early on Saturday morning and left on Sunday afternoon. We can now scratch March off the list of months we have not camped. December and January are the only two months left.
Did not de-winterize. Used the toilet and vanity sink and brought water along to flush and wash hands. Simple to re-winterize before we left.
Camp fire, hot dogs, walks around the grounds. Only one other couple on the campground. What a great weekend! RV survived the winter without issue.

Stayed a second time this month. Arrived on Friday evening and left late on Sunday afternoon. March has been very nice in my part of the world.

Going to open this weekend and de-winterize. Funny how the weather works. Really nice in March, not so much in April.

We opened our camper on March 21st. Still snow on the ground and stayed for just the day. We went back on the 28th and raked the leaves, stayed just the day. There was a area about a foot in diameter where the leaves was still froze under the slide-out. We still haven't de-winterized. Going up tomorrow to de-winterize, setup a new patio table and chairs, drain and clean the water feature, it is 2' deep and full of leaves. We'll stay til Tuesday.
