I'm picking mine up in May, if you want I could haul another set home with me. You will have to pay Old Coot for them now so that he will hold it till then.

Does anyone else have just one bolt on the top of the awning to bolt the top bracket to ? if so how did you attach it did you drill another hole and put another nut and bolt or is one enough?

I only have the one. I really 'should' put a second one in, since the bracket doesn't stay flush with just one, but so far it's held up through a couple of heavy storms with just that one bolt.

I also only have one (been about 2 years like that), however will be adding the second one this spring. I think not having the second one allows some small movement of the arms when the legs are folded and retracting or extending the awning. This causes some creepage of the awning material in the track and eventual failure of the arms to close completely when folded.

Drill a hole in the arm and put a same size bolt with a lock nut on it. The one bolt goes into the cross arm and could cause some wobble in the threads. The new bolt will add more stability to the bracket and pole and take pressure off of the threaded bolt

I only had one bolt also, so that is all I used at the time. I will drill and add a second one later and will add the poles and pole bracket then also.
