39rkfb ems questions

This is for anyone that has any of the riverstones with the power management with the three ac units.

We are looking at these units but want to know if all three ac units will run at the same time with the ems?

39rkfb ems questions

We have a 3350 Cardinal with 3 factory units. The power management shows everything is fine running all 3 units, 2 13K and 1, 15K heat pump at the same time on 50 amp service especially here in Florida. We may be lucky but we have never had a voltage drop below 118 volts while they are cranking out the cool.

I believe the purpose of the power management is to keep all three from starting at the same time. Any compressor or pump based appliance requires a large upfront draw to get started that in turn will cause a voltage drop. You've got plenty of amps to run all three together, just not good to have all three start at the same time especially with the potential for a fridge or two also starting at the same time.

The power management system does not prevent the 3 a/c's from starting at the same time. It is a "load sharing system" That means when you are using equipment in your rig and you get close to using 50 amps it will drop out selected equipment until there is room in your system to turn it back on and keep the draw below 50 amps. It does not turn off the electric supply to your rig. it turns off the electric supply to the selected equipment.

An external EMS systems shuts off the power to your rig to protect damage from under and over electric voltage.

You systems probably says EMS on it but it is miss named.

You can run all 3 at the same time but you will have to manage the other stuff. No WH and micro add at the same time. Put the WH on gas if you need 3 a/c's

We have a 2018 RiverStone 38FB with 3 AC’s and when hooked up to 50amp supply all 3 units can be run. When we are on a 30amp supply the onboard EMS will manage and shed power to one or more of the ac’s as needed.

Ditto on my 38MB. All three run fine on 50 amps but shed as necessary.
