Dining Room Slide
Sorry for the newbie cry out for help! Dining room slide is not going in like it should. All other slides no problem.
I've checked to ensure she's still level. Bottom of slide moves only so far and it appears as if the top is not budging. I've checked up top and nothing is impeding anywhere. I can move the top ever so slightly by pushing/pulling with my hands so I don't think it's stuck in any way.
Your help would be most appreciated!
Larry

Have you taken this issue up with your dealer? To me that is your first place to go for help with issues like this.
I had an issue with my 2016 Cedar Creek and the dealer was able to resolve this problem to my satisfaction!

Try the outside switch, or the remote. Hit the switch 'open' for a second, then 'close' for a second, and repeat. After a bit, try to close it by holding down the switch and don't let go till all slides are in. Don't stop part way to 'inspect'.
Try that.

Manual
Have you tried to close it manually to check for binding or obstructions?

Larry, the first thing I would do is slide a hand or broom stick under the outside rubber seal and make sure there is nothing stuck or wedged between the top of the slide and the ext. sidewall, maybe do the same on the sides as well.
Next look under the slideout and inspect the slide rack for a broken tooth or a small rock lodged in between two teeth - you get the idea...
Then see if anything else on the slide mechanism looks broken, bent or otherwise out of place that might cause the slideout to pivot freely and wedge it into the opening.
If this all checks out then you have no other choice but to open the belly to have a look inside and do the same inspection as on the outside but by then it would probably the best to get in touch with a mobile repair service.
Be careful, the hydraulic system is strong enough to worsen the damage if you try to force it.
Best of luck

I've inspected everything visually from the outside. My next course of action is to either call a technician or remove the underbelly and take a look. This should be covered by our warranty so I'll give them a call first.
Don't understand it! We've had that slide in & out several times since we purchased. However, we have been set up now for a couple of months but you would think that wouldn't matter.
Thanks for all of your advice!

Just wanted you all to know that I received an email and a phone call from Jeff Holmes at Forest River, RiverStone Division and he talked me through troubleshooting the problem. Still no luck in getting our slide to go in. Jeff suspects a gear pack may have sheared (HOW???). A mobile technician is next in order!
I have to say that I am mildly surprised at the great customer service! They didn't have to call me. Very nice! (BTW...I reached out to Forest River, via their "Contact Us" webpage, this morning about the same time I posted in the forum
Thankfully this happened in our driveway and we weren't on the road full time just yet! We'll leave "Maddie" behind this weekend. I'll have to deal with this after the Easter weekend.
Thanks again for all your input and I will follow up soon with an update.
Larry

That is what happen to my unit last year! One on the gear drives broke a tooth and jump a gear on the rack. Why,this happen is the gear teeth on my unit missed heat treatment and the gears were soft. That is why I suggested that you contact the dealer.

SomedayisToday, my 38FB dining slide done the same thing since day one. Jay and his crew tried to lubricate it while it was at the factory getting some other repairs done. Although it was better for awhile after, it has since started doing it again. I added the anti-stiction fluid to the hydraulic reservoir (per Lippert TI-191) and that helped a lot, not only for the leveling jacks but also the slides.
