Forest River Riverstone

Hello Everyone
We are looking at moving into full time RVing in 1-2 years. We are reading and doing a lot of research, my question is I have went over the warranty for the Riverstone and I have not seen anything about it being voided like some models. But I did not see anything that covers it either. The units we are looking at are over 80k so I have looked everywhere and sent request to Forest River but have nothing back so I am turning to you. We have a 2009 Sierra travel trailer now that we camp in about 6 times a year and no problems with it so this is why we are looking at the Riverstones. Thank you in advance for any and all help.

Why is the warranty even important? How would they know if you live in it full-time? What is full-time? If you live in it for 11 months each year is that full time? These are all questions you need to ask yourself. The warranty on most trailers is only a year, after that then what. If you buy a quality rig and are handy at all you probably won't use the warranty. Not something I would care about. Never heard of any work being rejected because they thought somebody lived in it full time. The burden of proof would be on the manufacturer.

I think most rv manufactures say the trailer is not warranted for time use is just to cover there butt. Besides itís like some have said how will they know, after one year itís yours. Itís a RiverStone and 80k but it only has a year of warranty from the factory. Buying a extended warranty you are better off to put the cost of the warranty in the bank and use that to fix a problem. Mobile homes are manufactured houses and between the two there is a difference. A RiverStone is a really nice camper, enjoy the camper

I have seen it posted numerous times that the Riverstone models are approved for full-timing. I'll find a reference from FR and post it here.

Here's the official PDF from Riverstone. Take a look on page 12 under Exterior Package: "The Roof and Flooring Touts an R-38 Insulation Value. All Designed for Full Time Living Throughout the Country."

I also have seen quotes from Riverstone management where they said that their line was approved for full time use. We're looking to do it beginning this summer in either the 39FK or 39RKFB.
