prob depends on model. mine if you turn the temp knob all the way down it has an off position. also turn invertor off or disconnect battery negative, or all three.

We cut the breaker off in the panel. Ours has a 15A breaker just for the refrigerator outlet.

are you plugged into 110 vac power when in storage? if not, it will turn off due to lack of power. do not run it off the inverter as you will kill you batteries. if you have 110 vac power present i'd consider just letting it run. if you have power and want to turn it off there will be a control on the refrigerator that will turn it off, or as mentioned earlier. flip the circuit breaker.

We have an off control button and turn the fridge off. I also turn the disconnect key off and the inverter is off. So, no power is sent to the fridge, we also leave both doors opened stuffing a pool noodle between the door opening and the rest of the fridge to allow air to circulate.

Just going thru this with my Samsung. No on/off switch I could find. Just flipped the inverter circuit breaker, as the fridge is the only thing plugged into it. Didn't want the inverter running anyway.

My residential fridge does not have an on/off switch either. In the owners manually for the fridge, the procedure is outlined for turning the fridge on and off. This requires you to hold in the temperature selection switch for a few seconds. The fridge will either be on or off depending on if the fridge was operational or not.
You may want to read the O&M guide for the fridge or search on line for your model. To find out how to turn this on/off.

turn off the breaker. I'm pretty sure that will do it.

Darn, hitting the breaker for the inverter (no breaker could be found just for fridge) also shuts off my GFI outlets. A cursory review of manual (I'll re-check) doesn't mention shut off procedure (It's a Samsung). Tried hitting and holding temperature controls. No luck. Since RV is going in for warranty work and will be sitting in the lot for a month or two. I know they will re-set the breaker, which will turn on the fridge/inverter which automatically turns on my ice maker which I fear will burn out since there is no water (ice maker turns on automatically every time you turn the fridge on. Have to find a way to shut off before next week. Hello Google I guess.

This is what we did one time when our fifth wheel was going to be in for service a few days.

We are fortunate and normally we keep it at home with electricity provided year round.
