Under Storage Dimensions RS 38RE

Hey all, we are about to purchase a 2017 Riverstone 38RE. We were looking at it today and taking measurements. My wife failed to measure the outer under storage compartments. Would anyone know the dimensions of the two smaller storage compartments in the rear of the trailer? We are wanting to order storage bins for them. The camper is out of state so we can't just make the trip there to measure. TIA

I'll grab you the measurements tomorrow when it's light outside.

Here you go.
The doors measure 10" x 38", don't forget they have rounded corners.
The compartments measure ~54 1/2" x 95" x 11 1/2".

You will love your new Legacy 38RE!

Has anyone added pull out slides ( like on Class A's or the GD 375 ) to the Rear storage area's? Not sure if its even worth it, just curious if FR even make's the slides.

Thx

We haven't because of cost, weight and the loss of available height. We use the compartments to store our folding chairs and a folding table and we have a couple under bed storage boxes for some smaller stuff, this works pretty good for us.

We have not added the pullouts for all the same reason that Cypressloser stated. It can be a hassle at times when something get pushed in too far but nothing that can't be remedied by a broom or other long object. By and large it seems to work out fine for us. We use 4 low profile bins with wheels in each rear compartment for storage plus it still leaves room on top for a ladder, folding chairs and other miscellaneous items.

We found the low profile storage bins with wheels so two of them can be stacked on top of each other. We keep extra bedding and various things inside just in case we have guests that want to sleep over.

We also store our folding chairs in the back, as well as our outdoor grills and my collapsing ladder. It works well to put heavier things back there to minimize your tow vehicle pin weight, since the compartments are behind the rear fifth wheel axles.

Hope you never have problems with the door latches. but if you do (as I did on one of the rear doors), you will have to take everything out of the compartment and access the back side of the door latch from the other side of the camper through the opposite door. That would not be fun if you had a slide out tray installed.
