Winterizing question

I have never had an issue winterizing but I have no idea where the siphon hose should be connected to run antifreeze through the system. Any help would be much appreciated.

Might be in the compartment your water pump is in. Could you add your make and model, perhaps someone with the same unit can give you a steer.

Put water in the fresh water tank.
Open a faucet.
Turn ON the pump.
Walk around near the fresh water fill and listen for a 12v motor turning.
If that doesn't work, walk around the rest of the unit.

If it is the same as my 2017 38FB, and I suspect it is, the antifreeze goes in the city water connection.

BTW, the label showing the valve positions was incorrect for the winterization position on my unit. I do not know what other years/models were effected.

Also, some folks put 3 of the valves in a midway position to clear the valves of water. I am not sure if this is a Riverstone recommendation.

Edit: So...where is the water pump?

Edit 2: Some good info: http://www.bandbmolders.com/index.php/nautilus/

Well I finally got it winterized but it didn't go smoothly. I spent over an hour trying to get the pump primed and after about 2 gallons I gave up on the directions. Cause I never got a steady flow. Took forever to find the pump but once I did I cut the hose and ran it into a jug of antifreeze. It took about 3 gallons to do everything in the camper but I'm set for winter....

Opps- well then I have no idea where all that AF was going!
I have a pretty good size rig -29 foot- and I build pressure with less than a gallon of AF and that's after I've blown the lines out as much as possible.

Guess I'll be dong mine today or tomorrow...

it was running it through the lines but just in spurts like it was sucking air also. the water fittings are at the back of the camper and the pump is up by the front so i will have to pressure test it all in the spring even though i dont use the holding tank.

I haven't used the ice maker yet we have to much iron in our water at the campground. I dont know the model of water heater just that it will put out hot water for 20 minutes before shutting down.

OK, I would still open the low point drain for the feed to the icemaker just incase there is some water in part of the line. ours is behind the rear wheel on the drivers side. 20 minutes sounds like you have a Girard 2, they do have a small tank in them so either I had to set the valves for normal use and I blew air thru then pumped antifreeze in it.

I ran antifreeze through it so should be ok. I hope there wasn't any water in the line to the icemaker cause I didn't open the valve to it

We used way more antifreeze in our 38FB than is the 30' TT it replaced. Washer hookup, 1/2 bath, dishwasher, ice maker, and a lot of pex tube!

Is your antifreeze jug at the same level or higher than the pump? Cut a u shaped grove on the end of the pickup hose so it can't suck to the bottom.

Incorrect Nautilus Panel Schematic

Last week I was winterizing my 2018 1/2 Legacy 38RE and was following the Nautilus schematic on my coach, which is shown in the LH picture below (winterizing schematic is in the upper right hand corner):

I could not get the pump to pull any AF from the container. I then noticed my schematic was different than the one shown on other models and as shown in the Nautilus Instruction Manual (RH picture):

After switching the red valve to horizontal, I had no problem pulling AF from the containers, so some of the 2018/2018 1/2 models have an incorrect schematic also.

Just a heads up.
