195BH Outdoor Shower

Started adding an outdoor shower to camper today. Cutting the hole was no big deal, just got to figure out how to get hot water over to it.

Get any further update on this? It's something I'd like to do

The hardest part was getting the hot water line to curve under the shower to the water heater. I plan on building a box to hide the new hot water and the original cold water lines behind the toilet. PEX and the push-in connectors are awesome. Went camping a couple weeks ago and never saw a drip.

Lines are connected and shower opening is braced with corner brackets from Lowes.

Cold water connection.

Hot water line going into bathroom behind the toilet. Original cold water line is shown below it.

Hot water line going from behind the toilet under the shower.

Hot water connection at the water heater.

Door closed, looks factory installed but I didn't use silicone caulk like they would have.

I went with the Hankooks you suggested, after looking at all the available tires it was the logical choice. Thanks for the tip.

Thanks, its not too bad. I just cut and framed the hole from the inside before I ever touched the aluminum siding. Stuck the shower in backwards to make sure it fit the hole. Then I drilled a small hole in each corner from the inside out using the framing I installed as my guide. Used an oscillating saw from the outside to connect the drilled holes. I knew it would fit the outside hole because it fit the inside hole and the siding was super easy to cut.

The shower was so easy I'm considering a window for the lower bunk now. One thing about the 195BH, it was so cheap I'm not afraid to mod it and make it my own. If it cost $50,000 I might be more concerned about resale value.

My only quesstion is "who takes showers outside"? We use it to hose off the golf cart before we load it,but that makes it a "wash station'.

We use it for the dogs but I'm sure it will be handy for us when we are at the beach in a few weeks.

I actually prefer the outdoor shower. In warm weather it's just nice out and it doesn't take much hot water.. not to mention it helps keep the humidity down inside your rig. In colder weather I pop up an enclosed dunny so it's nice and warm inside, but don't have to deal with all the condensation build up indoors. It's bad enough fighting condensation from my portable propane heater.

Of course.. the above wouldn't apply so much to CG RV'rs, but to each their own. I would imagine anyone with pets would welcome an outdoor shower. Quick access to cold drinking water and perfect for a nice warm bath.
