2011 Salem LE 22T E-Brake Cable Busted

So. I managed to disconnect everything, and block the wheels when I dropped off my trailer at the storage lot - except the e-brake cable. So when I pulled away I ripped the cable and a black plug looking gooberdobbie out of somewhere. So... now are the brakes locked? How do I put the plug back in place?

There is a black box (brake activation switch) on the frame near the coupler. The black pin goes into that box. Once you reinstall the pin the brakes should release.
