I am supposed to get my 27dbud ( only a couple hundred pounds heavier than the tbud and a few pounds lighter on the tongue.) in about 10 days. Pulling it with a max tow Eco myself. Everything looks good from a tow capacity stand point. I am going to have to watch the loading of the camper and the truck to keep the tongue weight and overall weight on the truck in line. Other than that I am not concerned. I took out a similar sized camper that was loaded up for camping and " test drove" it behind the truck. Power wasn't a concern, truck did great, I am being careful about weight on the truck and going to enjoy the ride.... Now, I just can't wait for the dealer to get the thing.... :-)

I really like that all the trim and white plastic is now black. I have a 2012 and started towing with an 06 Nissan Titan and upgraded to a 2012 F250. Any chance you have a picture of e storage on the G?

Here you go... these were taken the day I looked at it on the lot. I moved the spare tire elsewhere to give myself more room. The only problem I can see is I'll be lost if/when I get another TT and I don't the storage space... it really holds a lot.

TV

Ok, I have the 2014 26TBUD. It appears that the only difference between this year and last year's model is the black trim. My question is, what size TV can be mounted. I have found a 32" TV that is about 29 1/2" wide. But I am not sure about clearance when spinning the mount to the bedroom. Has anybody else mounted a 32" and are there any manufacture specs that I may have missed?

I have my doubts a '32 would fit. Possibly with a really slim mount. I chose a '26 with a mount that can tilt.

Pulling mine with a Supercrew F150 5.4L and I have no issues at all. Runs at about 1900 rpms at 90 km/h with plenty of power when needed...

We have a 2011 TBUD that we have had for 3 years. Love the camper, it's been perfect for our family. The only gripes I have at all is the size of the grey tank. That thing seems to fill way too quickly.

We went with a 19" flat screen and are currently looking for bigger.

Let me know what you go with. I am in no hurry to purchase. I just want to make the wisest decision when I have the funds to do so.

Yes the 32" TV will fit. I saw this one at my local Best Buy and measured and remeasured. It fits very well. I used a low-profile mounting bracket and in transit I used 2 water noodles that I cut to size to minimize movement. Worked like a champ!

Is the backing of that compartment thick/strong enough to attach the mount or did you need to run a board vertically first?

Yes, there is backing in the place you would bolt the mount. I drilled it out and used 1/4" bolts to mount it. I pulled it about 500 miles round trip last week and it seems to have held up really well.

The only thing that did come loose was the bank of drawers above the fuse box. I have plans to completely overhaul that!

And then my next mod is going to be to rid myself of the worthless mattress!!

Yep, I used carriage bolts on mine, works like a charm.

We used an articulating arm mount so we can adjust the tv angle for better viewing while sitting on the couch. When traveling, we turn the tv to face the bedroom and close the sliding doors.

Ours doesn't have the Box around the TV. I like the way yours looks. How does it ride? We turn ours around also, but I just wanted the extra protection the Noodles provide.

I bought the exact same thing in july of last year, mine is the 2013.. and paid damn near the exact same price. I think it's a great deal and our family loves the camper. Works perfect for us since we have 3 kids.

Haha after our first camping trip that POS was the first thing I swapped out! Luckily we had recently upgraded to a king bedroom set and still had the regular queen mattress. It fits fine and is sooo much more comfortable. I just had to build a kind of a brace for the end of the mattress so it doesn't sag at the foot.

So you drilled straight through both the black board and the wooden backing and then ran the carriage bolts through?

What kind of stereo is that in both of your pics? My Tbud is a 2011 and I have been thinking about upgrading to a system that plays DVDs and supports Ipods. Has anyone upgraded their system?

We just finished a 5000 mile trip with our F150 Ecoboost and Tbud. No problems at all. We did wear the OEM tires out on the camper. Nothing but bald, baloney skins left!! We traveled from the Buffalo, NY area out to Zion NP in SW Utah. We over nighted at Cabelas until we got to Denver where we stayed in a SP for a few days. Zion is amazing! We stayed at Watchman CG, right in the park. When we got home, I noticed the shower surround needs some caulk and the sofa front (the board around the drawer) needs some construction adhesive and a few finishing nails. The truck averaged 8.3 MPG which is down from the usual 10+ that we got on previous trips. I think it was due to the higher highway speeds. We averaged approximately 47 MPH for 5000 miles!
