2014 26tbud question

Hi everyone this is our first TT and hav a few questions. Is it ok to leave our TT plugged In when it is not being used? Will the batteries overcharge or will charging stop when batteries are full.

We have the TT parked on the side of house and usually have it plugged in. And is it ok to have the Slide out all the time? I have noticed they sell support jacks that go under the slide out. This is where we will store it in the winter and like to camp in our driveway when we are unable to get away for the weekend😃. Thanks for the replies

It's ok to leave it plugged in. Check battery fluid levels periodically. If water levels are low, replace with distilled water only. Don't add supports under slide out . It shouldn't need additional support. Enjoy camping.

Forgot to add... you can also use a battery disconnect on trailer if you have one. You can also simply disconnect one side of battery after battery is fully charged. Disconnect shore power if you do disconnect battery.

It is essential NOT to put supports under the slides. They are designed to be self supported. The camper may settle over time and if the slide is supported, the camper sinks slightly and the slide doesn't causing potential leaks. Leaks are very bad for tt's.

Many of us have owned TT and 5ers for many years. Feel free to ask us questions. Also toucan do a search on the entire forum on just about and topic and there is likely some conversation. Good luck, ask away and welcome to the RV way of life!
