2014 dbud mod

Ly I was at the rv show looking at the upgrades that the sales got for 2015 including the larger top bunk and I decided that I could make that one happen so $50 bucks later at the Home Depot and here it is. I took the time to stiffen the bunk massively while I had it open, it will support a lot more weight now. Thought I would share for anyone that has thought about doing this.

Nice work. I have a 2015 DBUD and love the top bunk. A little sketchy on an adult couple sleeping on it though.

Jealous! I saw the shoe storage under the entertainment center, the half barrel cabinet, and the full size bunk up top and for a minute.... Thought about dumping the 14 and stepping up to a 15... That irrational thought passed though thank goodness.

I pimped out the bunks with some RGBW LEDs and controllers also. It certainly made the lighting better in the bunks and allowed the the kids to change the colors and have a little fun..... Or maybe, just maybe leave it white and ......read.......

Same model, they added the double over top either late 14 or 15. Mine is a 2014 dbud and came with a single, always wondered why they did that.

I didn't know that, it is odd that they didn't just do that from the beginning. Either way, nice work on the top bunk mod! Love the lights, too

Thanks,
Amazon has those led lights and controllers cheap..... Just wired them into the existing lights for the 12v. You can get a 16' strip and a controller for under $40
