Thumbs down 2015 Hemisphere 286RL Carpet Ends Bunch up against Kit island when slide is pulled in

Our new 2015 Salem Hemisphere 286RL has the carpet edges on the slides that bunch up against the kitchen island when pulled in. This has to be a design flaw and I am not sure how it can be fixed or compensated for? The carpet is already wrinkling badly and will get worse over time. I suspect there are quite a few others with similar condition. Any thoughts?

Ditto same issue with our 272RLIS. DW ready to sell. Don't know a good fix. I try ot life edge up and let it lay against island, but this is a real pain due to try squeeze between island, table and kitchen

What does the dealer say about it?

Not much - but then it isn't their fault. It is not designed right by Forest River, and they need to at least change the design for future RVs.
Dealer couldn't come up with any fixes short of 'bend it up while closing in the slide'.

After looking at many different types of manufactures of 5vr's I can tell you they all do this to cover the the edge when the slide is out . They all do this and I have found after putting the slide out they lay down within a few hours

We looked at a number of different RV mfgrs units while waiting for our service to be completed at the dealers, and found a lot with the carpeted edges laying loose, like ours but also found some with the carpet tightly bound around the edge of the slide-out floor front. That certainly looked neater and more functional, but I can't say how it would be walking on or over it.

My camper does something very similar. My slide out carpet when in, hits against the corner wall coming from the hallway. I don't know how to fix. I guess I will live with it until something else goes bad and take it back to dealer for warranty work. Another one of those things that the factory quality control system (???) should have found.
