2016 Salem Hemisphere low point water drain?

Is there a low point water drain on a 2016 Salem Hemisphere 302FK? Only see one drain underneath for the fresh water tank.
Thanks,
Dennis in Dewitt, Michigan

Our Hemi 282 has the drain on the water tank, no low point drain. Possibly the same with yours.

2016 Salem Hemisphere low point water drain?

I have a 2015 Hemisphere 282rk.

These should be the low point water drains. Mine are in front of the left tire just forward a bit. Red and blue pipes with screw on caps.

Thanks Tim, I never saw those on mine. Sure enough, they're there!
I think those, along with the fresh water drain should have everything covered.

Copy that. There aren't any red and blue ones but I'll double check.

My 2016 302FK has the red and blue pipes with screw on caps directly under the pump location. After I drained them, I checked the pump and it was still full of water so I cut the input water line and added a "T" and 2 valves so I could run RV antifreeze through the pump, just to make sure.

I see them now. Gonna replace the plugs with 1/4 turn valves and add the T to the pump suction line. Thanks for the help.

That's the ticket. I have the valves and need 2 adapters. Thanks for the posts.

Adding valves is a sure a convenient upgrade. And I'm not being critical of the suggestions or someone elses mods, but a word of caution: As someone who's installed a lot of PVC fittings over the years, the ones shown in the pic above are for interior use. With age, the pvc does get brittle and more often than not, if not used for periods of time, will freeze up. When you go to open them, they'll be fine the first year or maybe 2, but eventually you will resort to gripping them with pliers and channel locks and CRACK. Also, depending on the location and how far they hang down, they are subject targets for a lot of road debris which, if it doesn't smash the fitting, can render it inoperable because of the grit and grime in the road spray.

Would metal ones be better? I guess you could also secure plastic bags over the pvc valves to protect and keep the grit off of them possibly???

The metal ones might corrode if you camp anywhere near the beach. Although they are brass it shouldn't be bad. The handles might rust.

Good idea on using a bag to cover the plastic ones. Plus i would think most would be opening the plastic valves to drain them each time they come home and then again before winter sets in. So I wouldn't think you would have problems with them freezing up.
On the 282rk they are so high up if anything were to hit them it's going to be tearing off the side skirting also.

If using the PVC valves, would it make sense to maybe spray them with silicon to help keep them from getting brittle and operating smoothly? They aren't exposed to sunlight under there, and they are so cheap that I guess if they do crap out, just replace them???

I don't think you would need to spray anything on them. Yup and they will be screwed on so replacement should be easy.
