2016 Salem KQBTS

The wife and I love the lay out of the Salem with the front bunks for the kids. The only problem is I have a 2010 Nissan Titan and was wondering if my truck was going to be able to pull the camper if we got it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks.

Wow I like that layout TOO! From the info I can gather on this camper, I think the hitch weight is around 800lbs. (maybe I'm wrong) and the dry weight of the camper is near 8500lbs. That's just empty.... I don't think you've got enough truck for this unit. Just my opinion. I'm sure others will chime in.....

I showed this camper to my wife. She loves it! Looks like we might go check it out for ourselves.

I've got an '06 Titan and there is no way I'd want to pull an 8500lb trailer with it

It may depend on the configuration of the truck. I know in my truck, there is a wide variety of towing capacities, depending on engine and rear end.

Leather let me know if u pull the trigger. We went in one at Ocean Lakes in Myrtle Beach and fell in love. Price tag was around 26k. Not bad for all that camper. Looks like I'm stepping up to a diesel

For sure! 26 isn't as bad as what I found at some of the dealers for this camper. I'll keep an eye out for one in Michigan. Yeah, a bigger truck would do the trick for you. Doesn't have to be a diesel though. (unless you really want one...) An F250 6.2L gasser would be good. Like mine. Way less maintenance and cheaper too!

Hey Dawg. Sorry, haven't been on in a couple days. I get around 13.8 mpg driving during the week with my 6.2L

You will be needing 3/4 ton, imho, to pull this comfortably. Fully loaded you are nearing 11000#.
