AM/FM radio reception

I been searching this issue for a while but have not yet found the definitive answer.

In my 2014 27RKSS there a Jensen stereo system. I can't seem to pick up any radio statins but I can from my vehicles while sitting right next to the trailer.

It seems as if there's not an antenna hooked up. The only antenna on the roof is one of those big wing thingy, (not sure what they're called). Is that supposed to be an antenna?

There's a guy who camps next to me in a 26TBUD with an antenna that looks like a car antenna and he get radio just fine, also other trailers around with similar set-up and it works just fine.

What if anything can I do to get radio reception? I have a car antanea that I got from an old scrapped car that I hooked up but with no luck. I just plugged it in to back of stereo and tried it. Does it need to be grounded to work?

I bought a indoor am/fm from eBay for $5...worked fine. I put it inside the cabinet by the radio. Looked like an led light strip.

You have to turn. On the antennae booster just like over air TV. I can't even pick up the transmitter 3 miles away without doing so. I have the omnidirectional UFO on my roof.

Turn on? How? Is there a switch or something I don't know about?

There should be a small button next to where your cable connects. A small blue or red light will come on. Keep in mind when connected to cable it will cause bad interference.

This what my entertainment section looks like. No switch. One plate has 2 cable connections, I assume are satellite and cable, then there's the other RCA plug one.

I not close to my trailer right now but here's a pic I found on line. Can't move it either way, up or down, or right or left.

I see 2014. It's got to have one. I'll research your trailer stand by.

Is there a small button switch where you plug in your bedroom TV?

If you can't find a switch, you may need to pull the head unit. There's a good chance the factory missed hooking up the antenna to the radio.

Can't remember now! Don't think so though. In the bedroom I know that there's a spot for cable to screw on.

If you have a switch, that's your antenna amplifier.

May have to pull the head unit and see if the factory missed hooking up the antenna or maybe the antenna slipped out of the port. That's a fairly easy fix.

It could be next to where you extend your antenna. The TV antenna also works your radio.
