Awning won't work

Hi. I have a 2016 Wildwood 201BHXL with a Solara Lippert power awing. The awning has very little use on it. It had started to retract much slower the last few times we used it. Today it quit all together. The switch inside the trailer doesn't respond at all. The switch on the remote makes a clicking sound in the fuse box but won't operate the awning. I had to manually retract the awning by turning the 7/16 inch manual over ride nut on the motor head. I found and replaced one fuse but that did not fix the situation. Anyone know of a second fuse or anything else to try? Thanks.

You might want to check the wire connection at the motor. Use a long skinny Phillips head screwdriver to remove the plastic cover. I had to take mine apart to get rid of the mud dauber nests and when I opened it up I discovered the negative wire connection was falling apart. I doubt the awning would have worked more than 4-5 more times.

At some point during every day you suddenly realize nothing else productive is going to happen the rest of that day. For me, it usually occurs around 9 am.

Mine had the same symptoms and it was a bad motor.

You can try to open the awning enough to get to the wires in the awning arm near the motor. You should have quick disconnects on the wires. Check the voltages there (the voltage reverses from in to out movement). If the voltages are good, it is probably the motor.

If it is not under warranty, it is a pretty easy fix.

Thanks for all the relies. I was thinking motor too. It is still under warranty so I may as well let them repair it.

Just as a follow up: had power all the way to the motor. New motor was installed and problem solved.
