Bathroom Vanity Faucets

I was wondering if you could replace the plastic vanity bathroom faucet with one that you purchase at a hardware store, or a specific bathroom faucet for RVís? I own a Salem Hemisphere 2017 368RLBHK.

I'm pretty sure the delivered plastic vanity faucets with RV's are 4" on center connections and any vanity faucet should work.

I did. It was a bit of luck, but I found a better countertop to replace the factory cheap Formica covered particle board. I bought a nice bath lav set and it worked, without anything else.
I thought I might at least have to buy what I needed to adjust the pex to fit, but I simply connected the original plumbing to the new faucet, and it worked fine.

Replaced both my kitchen and bathroom faucets with Peerless brand from Walmart. Kitchen is an 8" center and bathroom is a 4" center, just like residential faucets. The connectors on the PEX are the standard 1/2".

I did it in this trailer as well as previous one...cheap plastic factory ones were squeaking from day 1 and felt like garbage...went to Home Depot and replaced with a residential one, 4" center...quick and easy.

I didnít intend to muddy the water by mentioning replacing the countertop in ours. My plumbing came straight up, and didnít have any slack in the pex. I was worried switching the top, may have messed with the elevation, and prevented the new faucet set from being tightened properly. It was a direct swap.

Since I swapped the countertop/sink(a resin preformed unit))I had just enough room to install a new drain assembly also. I was able to ditch the drain plug, and go to the typical push and pull drain rod sliding up through the faucet set. The whole thing was a big plus.

Any household faucet will work just like those at the big box stores or plumbing supply places.

The only thing R/V specific about the faucets is they are inexpensive plastic in most cases. (cheap) Replacing them is usually one of the first mods people come here to post about.
