My trailer didn't have fans in the ceiling vents so I added one in bathroom. It has speeds in both directions and can be an exhaust fan, or a fan blowing air in. It's pretty powerful and creates a great breeze inside to cool things down without using AC and runs off 12v. Going to add a second in other vent eventually. Here is a link from other thread about it.

Thanks for the fan link. It looks really nice. Our 2016 195BH came with a very small push button 12v fan only in the bathroom vent. Your fan would be a great upgrade.

Screen Door Cross Bar Handle

Added a cross bar to our screen door. Makes a great handle to hang on to when opening. We bought the Camco 42183 cross bar. A ton of excellent reviews on Amazon.

Like some of the Amazon reviewers we did not follow the instructions, use the provided template, or my level. I just lined it up even with the door's horizontal bar about 2" above it. Also did not use Camco's smaller screws or recommended 1/8" drill bit.

Screws used: 4ea #10x5/8 pan head sheet metal screws (bigger).
Drill bit used: 7/64" - makes a real tight fit with the above screws.

Much better now to have a handle on the screen door. It also works well as a towel rack when not using the screen door.

This is by far the best mod we have done so far, even better than adding the swivel TV mount!

Yes, a very useful mod. A screen door cross bar handle is inexpensive. FR should have installed one on all their trailers.

TV Mount

Thank you Golfnbike13. Your pics and 195BH TV Mount thread helped greatly. Our 24" Vizio eats up way too much counter space. The Master Mounts Locking Cantilever Mount you have will also work well for our TV. Will get going on this mod as soon as our TV mount arrives.

hey everyone, also a new Salem Cruise lite owner (2016 27BHS).
Mine came with a touchscreen remote to control the leveling jacks and awning. It requests a PIN on the remote (like on a cell phone) but I have no idea what the PIN is. I couldn't find it referenced in any of the booklets that came with the trailer.
Any help from you guys??
thanks!

195BH Ready For The Long Haul

We just returned from our third 100 mile trip to the same RV Park. So far we have camped 13 days in our 195BH. Each trip was to learn our new trailer using both hookups and dry camping methods. Also, to fix anything before we tow it on a 2,000 mile trip in May.

On our last trip, we found a small water drip at the water inlet plastic nut behind the toilet. It just needed hand tightening, but something to check occasionally. No other issues found.

After three trips, we have had just a few issues with the trailer (posted earlier in this thread). We are now comfortable better knowing this trailer's electrical, plumbing and propane systems.

The 195BH is a great trailer for us. Now ready for the long haul in May.

I've had that little plastic piece behind the toilet break twice but once was due to not getting all water out during winterizing. Now I just keep that part with me just in case. It's an easy fix and the part is about $30 on Amazon.
