DSI water heater - elec & LP gas?

I'm wondering if my 6 gallon DSI water heater is the dual electric/LP gas model on my 261XLB salem cruise lite? I don't have the trailer here to check. I understand if it has the electric heating option, there is a flip switch inside the cover of the water heater. Can anyone tell me if it does or not without driving down to the storage unit to inspect it? Thanks for any help you can give.

If it's a Suburban, it should have a switch for the electric when you open the cover. Sometimes has a pin through it that you have to remove to turn it on.

See pic in Post #16 here:

Suburban Hot Water Heater: why no electric switch??

Thanks rockfordroo. I'll check it first thing the next time I check the trailer. I am hoping it has the electrical heating element as a back up to the LP gas or for when I am plugged in at a full service camp site.

Your build sheet or invoice should have the info as to the water heater.
Mine said Suburban DSI propane and electric WH.

Have the same trailer. According to the manual, it's only LP.

I see their brochure says "6 Gal. Gas DSI Water Heater." No mention of electric. So he may be out of luck. Might be able to add it himself.
