Dumping grey water

Anybody dump their grey water out other than a dump station or sewer hookup

Sure. Often at State Parks with no sewer. Mainly DISHWATER. Dawn and a few food particles never killed anything. I "had" an outdoor kitchen unit and except for storms, washed dishes outdoors and threw water about the bushes. Those galley tanks are small.
In the Army we used 3 huge garbage barrels: scrape; wash; rinse. 2 and 3 were always dumped. You cleaned your own mess kit so you ensured it was cleaned or suffered Mr. [emoji90]

yes, did it all the time prior to my seasonal with full hook up. Run a hose to the bushes or trees.
PS. Do it at night incase the campground has a tree hugging manager.

Quick story: watch WHERE YOU DUMP. Your nosey neighbors are watching. A friend with a huge motor home dumped his in the outside perimeter of a rest area. CLEAN DISHWATER. went into bath house and state policeman was waiting. Although ANY DUMPING WAS ILLEGAL; when he reached down and slashed it all over his face; and stated would I do that with unsanitary water?! Cop laughed and let him go without a citation.
2 years later his [emoji103] and [emoji105] rotted off. And he is going blind!!
Except for the last part, a true story!!

If the circumstances were right* I would probably dump the bathroom grey tank on site. I would think twice about the galley grey. Youroo is right... it can get awful smelly.

*Nobody looking, nobody listening, no runoff to our site or another.

No different than the primitive tent campers washing dishes at the water spigot.
It is just soapy water.
You should consider a grey tank treatment if you let your tank rot enough to be offensive.

I haven't been anywhere that it is allowed yet. I take this as a respect thing for your neighbors not having to smell YOUR waste water vs YOUR responsiblity to do what is right. They make waste water tanks for this purpose. My $0.02 worth.

PS. OP said nothing about state parks. He just asked a question about dumping grey water. He did not state how long it sit in the tanks or how big his tank is.
"You" should still consider a grey water treatment if you allow your "galley" water to ferment and also consider what is going in your tank before you dump in down the drain.

Here is a link for you.

Some units do not have "holding tanks" and some areas do not have "proper sewer disposal areas"
I am glad "you" are doing what "you" feel is right with your setup. Sleep well tonight and enjoy your holiday.

Dumping grey water

My grey water won't come out when a garden hose is attached. Once I unscrew the hose it comes out fine. What am I doing wrong? Hose is not kinked.

If I am in a campground that allows it or at one that has gray water dump sites scattered around the park, yes I will use those if needed.
If not, then I will use the honey wagon and drag it down to the dump station.
