Extended warranty or not?

We are about to purchase a 2014 Salem 27RKSS tomorrow and was wonder who buys the extended warranty. We have been offered a 7 year warranty and plan on buying it.

Is it worth it or not?

The second year Forest River offers (mine was$150.00) is a great deal must be done within 10 days but they are reasonable, I think the form is available on this forum but if not just google it.

X2 on the second year from FR. You will get most of the bugs worked out the first year and can use the second year for anything that breaks, you will get offers later on too of adding a warranty if you think you need it. But they are pricey for sure. Most warranty's are a toss up and don't get used. You will also find that there are items that will break that are not covered under the fine print. My opinion it is not worth it to buy the extended warranty other than the great deal of the second year for 150. My opinion only, and others that have had a "lemon" will disagree. For what it's worth.

The dealer didn't offer the second yr...maybe that's the better choice...I'll see.

The 1st post in this thread has the new warranty form link. Your dealer will more than likely not mention this as they make no money from it. They would rather sell you an outside warranty that they make hundreds of dollars from. The 10 day limit is not enforced anymore but get it in ASAP.
