First camp of the year.

Well folks. First camp is underway. Roughly 120 km drive from home. Good trip. No issues as of yet. All we forgot was a bbq lighter. Hahaha. So I'll say that's a success.
Averaged about 16 mpg which is great due to the fact of climbing a mountain on route. (Kelly's mountain in Cape Breton).
Staying at baddeck Cabot trail campground. Really nice. First time here but seems great. 4 family's in our group with 8 kids all within same age. So she's busy. Hahaha.
Enjoy the long weekend everybody.
KCCO!

You are lucky to be out. We planned to go out this weekend for months, instead I am stuck in the house with pouring rain

16 MPG? How fast were you going? I haven't taken a long trip in our new truck yet, but I think ours is 12 - 13 MPG going 60 MPH.

We camped for a week at Morro Bay, CA in March. Windy and cool. The weather in the Sierras has stayed mostly cool. I'm camped now at about 6000'. Overnights have been around 34F. The furnace cycles multiple times during the night to maintain 55-60 degrees, which to me is quite chilly. More snow is predicted later this week. I'm happy to share the bed with 2 dogs. Not much fun though taking them out at 2:30 a.m.

It got cool over night. Maybe 5-7 Celsius. Kept furnace at 72 so wasn't so bad. Left the dog home this weekend. So didn't have to deal with that. Hahaha.
