First time out, I must be doing it wrong, everything works.

Yep, tested it out. All systems are go. Two nights with partial hookups. Had to spend Saturday night reading manuals to figure a few features out, we accidentally had the AC on all night Friday when it was 54 degrees out. Brrrrrrr.

We filled up the grey water tank pretty quickly. That was mainly due to operator error, running the faucet trying to see if the water was hot yet or not. Oops, rookie move. Note to self, don't do that.

But yeah, we really enjoyed our first nights camping in our 2015 Salem 21RBS!

Glad to hear you had a good maiden voyage. Don't worry as you'll get the hang of everything quickly.

Filling up the gray water tank in 24 hours was our only real problem our first triip out too. Filling it up fast is still our problem. Or I will say a problem when both our 20 something year old daughters come with. Congrats on your new camper and good first trip.

Daughters tend not to be to consertive when it comes to camping. Good luck with that.

We direct said daughters to the bath house for showers when possible.

Sounds normal....and glad all went well! (Even after 5 years, we keep a notepad in the trailer to record things we forgot or need or things to fix/improve.)

new camper

congrats on the new camper and I'm sure you'll find other little things about the trailer as time passes. our first trip out with our new Windjammer we found out we can't run the fireplace and the microwave at the same time. kicks the breaker.

Glad to hear that the good times are rolling! Now is a great time to start making excuses for the "must have" items on Amazon!

Be sure you have water in the water heater first. I burnt up electric heating element in our first camper. It was empty cause I didn't move the water heater by pass valves.

Great minds think alike. Wife already started the list.

Yeah, I think we learned not to use the sinks at all and that way only the showers go into the grey water tank. Wash dishes with a hose outside. 😄

If we're doing dishes outside we usually fill-up the pan using the outside shower. Works great for creating suds and it cuts the risk of a spill transporting the water from inside to outside.

Great. I sincerely believe there are many more like you who experience little to no problems with a new rig. They just never come to the forum to report that. Enjoy.
