Forest river.salem Salem 30qbss

Hi, I'm looking for opinions. I have read alot of negative reviews online on forest river products. As always usually all you hear are the negative reviews. My wife and I are looking to purchase a new TT and found the Salem 30qbss. We love the look and it has everything we are looking for. Anyone have this product and how is the quality?

We love ours and would buy it again. We also heard the same thing after we bought ours. Miner problems that we fixed ourselves We changed out the jack knife couch and put in a lift for the dinner table. Bought ours from Jeff Couch.

I have a 2013KQBSS. I had a few problems that were fixed under warranty with the factory. No other issues after that. Be careful not to step on the main slideout floor when all the way in. Hitch weight is pretty heavy if you are towing with 1/2 ton. Get a good W/D system. I Love the rear bunk area with the kids dinette. I looked at your model prior to purchasing and opted for the outside kitchen. Could not camp without one now!

Good luck

I have one and love it. We bought it from Jeff Couch's and the deal was too good to pass up however pay very close attention to even the most minute details during your pre delivery inspection. Mine came missing the turn table wheel in the microwave, a mini blind handle and the slide wasn't adjusted correctly and it pulled the weather stripping off the side windows when it went out. Also when I dropped the rear dinette to a bed the width was so far that the table lid could fall in the floor and our first night out my daughter fell in the floor. The main kitchen dinette width was so close you couldn't fit the table lid down properly when making the bed. Also the electric portion of the hot water heater wasn't working when we bought it. I ended up having to beg a local dealer to take it in under warranty to fix these things. It has been in twice under warranty. The $150 to extend the warranty for a second year is a no-brainer! Our LED porch light quit working but they covered it for free. I bought mine in August of 2014 as a 2015.5 model. One of the first to roll off the line with the new bullet front end. All said and done I absolutely love this trailer for the price and options. It literally can't be beat. I do wonder if another brand like keystone would have better quality but I hear bad things about all of them and from what I see I could not come close to the options I have for the price I paid. We have stayed in it close to 60 nights now and it still smells new. That's with four kids. My biggest complaint is the very small grey water tank. At 27 gallons it fills up way too quickly. My biggest compliment is that they sold it to me as entry level luxury and I agree. With the remote control for the slide, awning, jacks and porch light and power everything it makes set up and break down easy. I also lucked out and got solid counter tops, stainless steel appliances and the curtains and night shades. My caveat to anything I say hear is that this is my second trailer and my first one was a well used 1999 Thor scamper so I don't have much experience with other brands to draw from. Hope this helps!
