Getting the camper dewinterized.

I couldn't take it anymore. I had to dewinterize the camper.

It's giving my the bug even more now.

Everything is working and ready to go and so are the kids.

De-winterizing mine tomorrow afternoon. Heading out with three other families Friday for a nice weekend trip to start the season off.

I'm hoping to go this weekend too but heavy rain is coming Friday. Have to wait see if it changes. 🤞🏻

We have de-winterized / winterized ours 3 times already this year. We have some nice weekends in the last couple of months and just couldn't sit it out -- we HAD to go :-D

Dewinterizing mine when it stops raining in Portland.

Maybe in July....Wow, what a wet year. Although I really AM going to dewinterize in the next couple weeks....and hit the road somewhere. Next winter won't be spent in Portland....maybe Nevada, New Mexico, Texas....or all of the above.

We've already hit the road in our new TT, 10 days ago, for the same reason.
The DW was about to go postal, from the lack of sunshine and warm weather, even on Camano Island.
We bought our TT just so we can get away for the winters.

We had a fun Saturday last weekend. We dewinterized our WJ but also helped our friends with their truck camper. That was a little different. We enjoyed some sunshine, beverages and good times. Going camping together next weekend-rain or shine!

I'm new at camping. My travel trailer was winterized when I bought it from the dealer in October. Do I have to take it back there to get it dewinterized? I know it's a stupid question but it's my first camper

I love how your daughter is watching T.V. So many times when DH came home for the weekend we just sit in the 5th dreaming when our time will come to hit the happy highway. He said soon as the night temps stay above 40 we are camping in our driveway, lol. Having fingers crossed that the Captain will let him have at least a Whole Week off.

Nope you can do it yourself. YouTube has great videos to learn how to do it.

wool33,
Ask the dealer if they used the RV antifreeze or air purge to winterize. The antifreeze will need a good flush of all outlets to make the system usable.
I just did mine that was air purge. The only issue, I had to manually prime my water pump. Also open your hot water heater overflow valve to fill the tank before use.

Just dewinterized our TT. We plan to go to Hells Gate State Park in Lewiston, ID, next week for spring break. It's been raining just about every other day, but we're going anyway.

wool33,
Remember to drain the antifreeze out and flush with clean water before you turn your bypass valves on the water heater. You don't want that pink stuff in the heater when you turn it on.

We can't get to ours yet. It's being held prisoner in the campground. The water won't be turned on until the 12th.

Had mine winterized due to about 3 sub-20s nights but de-winterized a couple of weeks ago. We're returning from 4 nites by a central Texas lake kayaking, wading, hiking. It was cold here this morning though. 53, I think... you'll get even with us in august.
