Grey water tank capacity...

What is the size of the Grey water tank on a Salem Cruise Lite 291FBXL? I'm not kidding you, one bath and a quick washing of dishes and it's full. Anybody know?

Sorry, I don't know the capacity of your gray water tank. however, you should be able to GOOGLE it and get your answer.
Not sure how experienced you are with RV's so I'll just mention. taking a shower in an RV should be a much different process than taking a shower at home. "GI" showers are much shorter, save water, and the results are the same---- a clean body!

Was it actually full?
Or did your moniter show full?
Are you sure it was empty?

Never rely on the factory probes to give you accurate status of tanks.

It said full, so I pulled the release partially and let it drain. It took quiet a while, so I'm guessing it was full. I seen some site say it was like 36 gallons... not sure though

I wouldn't trust the moniter.
After camping for awhile with it you'll know.

Slime on the tank sensors will make your tank read full when empty.

Just a quick fyi quick showers are still a must.
1) get wet shut shower off.
2) soap up "and down" [emoji16]
3) turn shower on and rinse.
4) done.

If you don't find any hard evidence of tank capacity you could always take a 5 gallon bucket and start dumping down the shower drain till it fills then you'll know your capacity.

We "family" of five can shower 3 full days with a 35 gallon tank.

it doesn't take long with to fill up...you will find out home much water you use real quick in a camper.

if it is a new camper, they might have filled it, they filled every tank on mind the day I picked it up.....tested all sensors, valves and everything...might be they forgot to drain....

This still amazes me. My family of 3 1/2 can't usually get more than 3-4 showers in before I have to dump the tanks even if we do the on/off of the shower thing.

Is that 3-4 showers each or total? remember your bathroom and kitchen sinks also go to the grey tank.
Depending on the length of your showers and if you shut off the water when lathering or just let it run, that could be about right. If you use 10 gal / shower per person, that's 40 gal right there.

Our Hemi 282RK has a total of 64 gal grey, but that's divided between the bath and the galley (we have 2 grey tanks). Our bath is about 40 gallons of that 64 total, and I can get 5 - 6 showers if I don't run the water continuously.

I climbed under it today, and looked up the part # that was on both the Grey and black tanks. Both had Ameri-kart part #BH052, which shows them being 28 gallon tanks...
