Hello with a new trailer!

The wife and I just bought our first camper. After looking at used ones with water damage for weeks.. we chose to just bite the bullet and buy new. We settled on a 2017 Forest River Salem Cruise Lite 263BHXL because we love the floor plan and it was within our budget (albeit the high end lol)

Really looking forward to many years of use and memories with our new little one as well.

Anyone have familiarity with this particular model or the previous year model?

I was unfamiliar with the model. Looked it up. Very nice. Quite a bit larger than it appears in the photo. Congratulations.

Thanks! We went to the lot to look at a 2015 262BH.. but it sold on Saturday, so the Salesman directed us to what he thought was a 2016 version. we worked out a price and then found out it was a 2017 263BHXL. We are pretty excited about it!

We were looking at that exact floor plan. We really liked it and pretty much settled on it until my wife saw the 273qbxl. As with yours it stretched the budget I had set but with two kiddos and the oldest wanting to bring friends along, it works best for us. I'm jealous you have yours, I'm leaving Monday to pick ours up...

I know the feeling. I find this forum very friendly and informative just as you have. We just picked up our new unit a couple weeks back. Can't wait to get out. Enjoy your new "home on wheels".... and welcome from another newbie.

Oh I don't have it yet.. have to wait a few weeks. I had no clue that it wasn't more of a purchase and pickup kinda thing. Guess the dealer is backed up on walk throughs because of the start of the season. So you get yours before me

I have a Salem CruiseLite 2015 241QBXL and like it a lot. Had some small issues that were taken care of by the dealer (also where I store it). Mine doesn't have a slide-and it seems there have been some posts about slide issues. It tows well (even in 40mph winds). I think you'll be happy with your unit. Have a great time!
