Help,help,help

We are going to pick up our new Salem fifth wheel Model 336RLSD tomorrow and would like to know what to look for when we pick up; check list. We bought new from a Mom and Pop operation.

Thanks and look forward to your comments.

There's a PDI sheet posted here somewhere. Basically just make sure everything works before you leave. Test water systems. both city and pump, heat, A/C, water heater, lights, etc. Look all over the outside and open every storage door. Operate the slides more than once. Open and close every cabinet door several times. Hook to your TV and make sure the brakes and lights all work. Make sure your dealer tests the charging line too. Make him show you how to a pull test if you're not familiar with that. Make them show you how to make sure the hitch is properly latched. Test the emergency break-away system.

Check the size battery installed as you need a 800-1000cca, mine had a 475cca and was dead after slide out was extended. Inspect the wiring diagram and check that the 110 and 12volt circuits match the diagrams. inspect the roof to assure adequate glueing and securing of roof material. Look down from the roof thru sky light and hatches to make sure no plywood is exposed from the roof side.

Have them check all the pipe connections, they are normally hand tight "if they fell like it" I had water running out from under the tub/shower area and the bathroom sink under the cabinet the first time we took it out.
