Hemisphere 282 rk Slideout problem

When "fully" extended, the top corner of the Slideout keeps the top door of the pantry from fully opening
RF has said they have NEVER heard of this problem to they are all that way
Dealer says "live with it." Anyone else have problems?

I do think you are right but my 2014 model upper door opens to nearly 90 degrees from the cabinet. I do not have any problem getting at items stored within. I don't consider it a problem. Maybe your slide is not extending fully if your pantry door does not open as with mine. I have a bigger concern about always checking that both pantry doors are still closed before I press the button to extend the slide. I have one pantry door destroyed shortly after taking delivery for my TT.

I have a 2015 282rk. I'm not sure how far my cabinet door opens but it does hit the top corner of the wood on the slide out. I put a small clear self stick rubber pad on the corner of that wood to keep from damaging the cabinet door.
It's a little bigger in size compared to a pencil eraser head and flat. Not really noticeable at all.

And definitely check those cabinet doors before opening or closing the slide.
I read all about it before purchasing my new TT.

We put dark brown ones on ours. We are most dissatisfied with FR attitude about the problem.

Also where is the quality control before these trailers are release to sell? This problem should have been fix in 2015 model.

They don't use what they build.

I agree. Also, once it leaves the factory, FR denies responsibility for their products.

I have a 2014 Hemishpere 282RK. The upper pantry door opens but as others have said it does hit the trim on the slide. I too put a small adhesive felt pad on the slide trim. I've never heard of it preventing the door from open at all. Could the slide not be extending fully?

If you can't open the pantry door at all then they have to do something. You can't live with not being able to use half the pantry.

I didn't mean that it wouldn't open. It does open about 90% but hits the moulding. I expected better quality from Hemisphere. Thanks for the comments.

Our 2014 does the same thing. Its not a quality defect. Remember you are trying to cram a whole house into 35'.

I would say mine is the same also. You just have to be careful not to open the door to fast and damage it.

I am in awe that fr knew of this flaw and did not correct it. All we are asking is for fr to pay for us to have this cupboard door fix so it opens properly

I don't believe with the curent layout and design, there is any fix that would be helpful. We too put a felt dot (used for chair legs) on the edge of the moulding to absorb the hit and prevent damage to the trim and the door.

We have a Hemisphere 263RL and our cupboard door opens to 90 degrees at the slide as well. I don't think this is a warranty issue. It is a design issue. As someone else said, there is only so much you can fit in such a space. I am glad for the extra storage space our cabinet provides and put canned goods in it, where there is no need to open it wider.

There is a fix
There is no way you would purchase a house and have a cupboard door like this

I'm curious to see if for some reason your cabinet door isn't opening like the rest of ours.
Can you post a pic of it open?

Mine opens to 60 degrees before making contact with the crown molding at the top of the slide. I never noticed an issue until now. It seems to be the nature of packing a lot into a small space.

I totally agree. There are always going to be crazy "why did they do it that way " things that don't make sence

I found a pic of mine open. If you look close my cabinet door isn't all the way against the slide out. But when it is it's not difficult to get things in and out of the cabinet.
