Inverter switch

Hi,

I can't seem to locate my inverter switch in a 2010 Salem Cruise Lite. Does anyone know where it might be? My owners manual says near the bedroom area but I can't find it. Thanks.

Almost all tt and 5th wheels do not have inverters.

I am reading the owners Manual and it says our tr has an inverter. It says...the switch for the operation of the inverter is located in the bedroom area, near the a/c unit transfer switches or in the kitchen area. Make sure to the the inverter OFF when the motorhome is parked. Leaving the inverter on for an extended period of time can slowly drain the battery"

Well, we have a dead battery. I have looked in these places and don't see anything. Btw, I don't even know what an inverter does. Our trailer is a Salem Cruise Lite T20RBXL

I'm confused becuase you've said "tr" "mh" and "tt" I know that you have a tt so I'm going with that.
The manual you have is generic and covers many many many models and units as they just replace the cover for your trailer.

Now is your camper plugged into shore power all the time ?
If not you have to disconnect the battery or install a battery disconnect.
The parasitic draws will kill the battery in days without being plugged into shore power.
I also believe you don't have an inverter.

I've also looked through many listings of your camper and can't find one with an inverter.
Do you camp a lot without shore power?

We have never dry camped before but I would like to. My concern is if I buy another battery, is there a switch somewhere that I should be turning off so I don't kill another battery.

In 2010 you may or may not have a battery disconnect switch.
You CAN just unhook the positive battery cable when not in use.
Or you can install a battery disconnect switch that you can turn on or off.

I leave my camper plugged in 24/7 to keep my batteries charged.

Again if you don't leave your camper plugged in while not in use your battery will go dead and the only way to prevent that other than leaving it plugged in is to disconnect the battery positive post.

So as long as I disconnect it. It won't die? I have now learned to just keep it plugged in but during our first winter, I left it unplugged. Lesson learned.

Correct it will not fully discharge if unhooked.
It may discharge a little from no activity always a good idea to charge it now and again while in long time storage.

I have 2 amp automatic chargers on my batteries now for when in storage.
They turn on and off as needed.

Turbo's giving you good info.
that manual is worthless and what you've been reading about an inverter, is for motorhomes only.
your trailer doesn't come with an inverter, unless you have the dealer install one or you do it yourself.
