relocating switches can be a real chore. I understand the wrong switch in the dark thats why I added an LED light over my switch panel. Seems to me pulling the fuse is the easiest way to go until he is taught to not operate switches on his own.

My Cedar Creek 30RLBS has a slide Kill switch below the actual slide switch, It is unmarked. But how about some Discipline, it is never to early to start.

I think they got the parenting thing...
I can see how switches put in locations where light switches would normally be as E-day said. I am lucky all my controls are up high and out of the way
The one thing I did have to contend with was the power distribution box. It is along the floor. A few no's and a child safety strap solved the problem. Once we put the strap on our daughter never touched it again.

This might not be the most esthetic solution but is is simple, inexpensive and easily reversed. It also works if you have visiting kids. Simply put a sticker ( ie Mr. Yuck") on all the switches that you do not want the kids to use. Then they do not need to know how to read to know which ones they are not allowed to use. Once they grow up, you can remove the stickers.

I love that you all were great parents and now the best grandparents. I get it. I am not shy at letting my 2 year old son know what is right and what is inappropriate. But toddlers are kids and I can't expect them to be perfect. There are also 6 other kids under age 5 that will frequently be in our camper so again I am trying to solve a problem, not get a parenting lesson. Thank you to those of you with constructive help.

This is what I added to cover my slide out switches. On my 360ibl they are all grouped together along with the awning and water heater switches

Mr yuck... Did not know he was still around! When I was little I taught my then 1 to 2 year old sister to do the Mr yuck face when ever someone came up and said how cute she was.. It was hilarious.. Until I got the paddle from mom...

Its hard enough to get ADULTS to act appropriately... I think my 3 year old daughter is more well behaved than some people around here!

Kids and slide outs...
Been there and then some...used plastic outside switch cover easy to install but....we had a great 5th wheel hitchhiker..loved it..very solid and never a problem..but going down I 5, wife driving some guy...we figured was a nut kept honking at us...pulling in front...and slowing...tried to ignore figuring road rage... and finally looking in my rear view mirror on passenger side saw my bit 16 foot slide was out... We stopped but the guy kept going..wished I could have thanked and bought him dinner.... Anyhow the switch was in cabinet on side ...and dishes had slid in to the toggle switch...and opened the slide while driving... Stopped at Home Depot got switch cover.... Also called Hitch Hiker company with warning but they did not seemed concerned...So if in a cabinet like ours be sure is also covered.

I really like that swing away picture idea. This thread gives me a SMALL idea of our future. At 66 and 67 we have become somewhat surprised grandparents. Heaven help us.
