LED Awning lights can they be dimmed?
Hello all. Another question about my 16 Hemisphere Lite 286RL. The awning LED lights are great, but after dark they are too bright. Does anyone know of a way to dim them?

My sister's 5th wheel had the same problem. The switch for the LED's was on the master panel. We took off the panel and wired inline an RF remote controller that has dimming control.

Thanks for the information. Does your sisters rig have the Linc controller? If it does, can you still use the remote (linc) to turn on/off the lights?

I'm not sure what a Linc Controller is?
She just has an on/off rocker switch on the main panel.
I would think if you can find the main source of the power and attach the controller there, you can control everything.

I just put one of these inline with the power going to the LED lights. I did not want another remote to keep track of in the RV.
Bought it at Amazon.

not sure what the brand is. Go on Ebay and search for LED controller single color and you will find hundreds of these.

Please update us when you install, my wife and I have a '16 hemisphere 302 FK and feel the same, we love the ease of having the lights already in the awning no more putting up and taking down lights , but wow they are bright. I did some research a while back and found conflicting information on if it's possible or not, then life happened and became way too busy to mess with it.

Delivery from Amazon is about 2 weeks out, I'll put together a post with pics on wiring. If it fails, I'll post a pic of the return label and reasons of failure, but I truly don't see any problems.
I'll be in touch towards mid October.

Darn,for 2.00$ more you can buy a "Controller/transformer/Multi-color Light LEDs,Every color in the Rainbow, it has 44 buttons and will do more Tricks than most people want!   Youroo!!
