low water drain leak

One of the low water drains on our Salem 26Tbud has been leaking all season. I have been dealing with it by taping it off with rubber tape from home depot. Now that the season is over and I have winterized the camper, I would like to prep for the repair next season. It looks like PEX pipe, can I use regular PEX materials to repair it or are the special RV components I need to use?

If it is the cap that is leaking you may have lost this.

Ballcock valve seal.

Flair-It 3/4" Saniprene 10 Pack of Ball Cock Seal - Plumbing Fittings - Plumbing

Check with a local RV parts dept.

IF this is where the leak is.

Thanks fo responding. It seems like it's actually leaking from where the threaded connection attaches to the hose. The water seems to stream out while under pressure. I was thinking of replacing the existing fitting with an inline valve.

Replacing the cap with a 1/2 inch ball valve is what some people have done because it is easy to turn the valve.

I would cut off the end of the Pex where it was crimped for fresh Pex.
