New 2015 Hemisphere 327RES Fifth Wheel

Picked up ordered unit in July. Didn't try to use until 2 weeks ago. Discovered the "King" bed as stated in the brochure is 66 x 80 which is an "Olympic Queen" not a king. Having trouble finding sheets to fit. Queen's too small, Kings too big. Anybody else dealt with this? If so, where did you find sheets? Overall, we like the fiver, just disappointed in the bed, which also only has 57" of base under a 66" mattress. Been waiting 2 weeks for a response from Salem warranty dept on a fix for the base. Good points - killer kitchen, great living area, and a decent sized bathroom. Upgraded from a 2013 FR Cherokee 27WP Toy Hauler and as full time RV'ers this is much more liveable.

We are using king size sheets, we have a 4" topper on mattress and it works very well, may have a *little* extra material on the sides, certainly not going to be bouncing any quarters off of it..

We too fell for the "king bed" label shown in brochure, was not only disappointed but out right ticked, since it was a major factor in buying our 286rl. (Wondering if it constitutes false advertising.). Have also had other issues, remote won't work when we get it home, all 3 tanks had bad censors, two chairs had been damaged, bad blind, window out of track, and bed mattress has rip. I am so thankful we custom ordered it. :>). Not sure what we would of had to deal with otherwise. Taking it back in two weeks for fixes.

Now. . . Having said all that, we have a 4" memory foam topper plus matress pad. We use king every thing, it is a little large as previous post stated but no problem.

Are we happy? We love our 5er, (upgraded from TT). Dealer and Forest River have been good at trying to fix/trouble shoot issues.

Congrats on your new Hemispher, try king sheets, will have to cut down king topper, but no big deal.

Sorry to hear about your woes,
But as I posted in another thread, the continued delivery of poor quality workmanship from Forest River (and other manufacturers for that matter) should not be accepted merely because we can take the unit back to the dealer and get it fixed. Too many posts have praised the dealer for fixing their units and too little information of customer disatisfaction goes back Forest River. Fixes and warranty claims are built into the costing of the unit, so there's really no pain to the manufacturer until customer complaints go directly to the manufacturer and sales start to drop off. As a group, RV owners spend hundreds of thousands of $$ every year and still there are myriad of complaints of poor quality.

We have had it back for a few warrantee items but all in all we are loving out 5ers
