New 266RLBS 5er bought today

Well, we bit the bullet and purchased a 2015 266RLBS Salem Hemisphere Lite today. This is our second Forest River rv. The last one was a Surveyor SP-189 travel trailer. We loved it, but it sure did shrink with the two of us and our German shepherd inside during a rainy weekend outing. So, back to a 5th wheeler we go. I really like the rectangular tub and pretty much the overall looks and feel. The larger so called king bed helps also. Should have it home in about 3 days as they do the make-ready and reverse the swing of the bedroom door as it hits the dresser storage area swinging in towards the room. The previous layout has the door swinging outwards into the hallway. No conflict there, so they are reversing it for us at no charge. Cannot hardly wait to get this thing out to the parks!!

Got the Hemisphere home to our RV park. Tows great, dealer did awful job of cleaning if at all. Found one piece of trim coming loose on tv area by door. It seems the brad nails were shot too deep into the trim and simply pulled through. Only other thing we've found is that there is no light switch close to doorway, so it can be a dark cavern to enter if lights are all off at night. A lot to relearn after not having a 5er for 10 years.

Congrats on your 2015 Salem Hemisphere Lite 266RLBS. Very nice looking unit. No worries about shrinking during rainy days anymore.

You have a great rig there! And it's large too!

Were waiting on replacement door frame trim as the crew at the dealership reversed the door, but instead of reversing the hinges they just hung the door upside down. There is a 1" gap at the top of the door and to make the striker fit they just drilled a large hole 1" down through the trim. Anyway, the replacement door trim is on order and they will redo the door install, again.
