I've been lurking around this site since I started looking at the Salem lineup. On saturday I pulled the trigger on a 2009 Salem 30QBSS. We are coming out of a 1998 Skyline Nomad 30' with no slideout so needless to say we are looking forward to this camping season here on Long Island.

Welcome, JFM. I was looking at Google Maps to find where you are located. It looks like a cool place to live. Lots of places to fish I'll bet. You will love having a slide out it makes it so much more roomy inside. Just be sure to check for clearance when pick a spot. When I got my 1st slide out I would get all set and then realize there was a tree or boulder where my slide out needed room to fit.

Happy camping.

Thanks for the insight. Yes we have some of the best fishing along the eastern seaboard here on L.I. We have camping right on the outer beach literally ocean front camping air down the camper and truck tires put her in 4 wheel LO and tug your camper across the beach. It's hard to put into words what it's like out there on a summer night the sky puts you under a spell. Heres a shot from last summer you can see the Atlantic about 100 feet away. Nothing on earth like it!
