New TT owner...any other Forest River Salem owners??

Hello!

We are recent owners of a 2015 Salem 30 KQBSS and was wondering others opinions of this model or other Salem models? So far we are happy with everything, the black tank seems to fill quickly but that's not a huge issue. Any advice for new TT owners??

I have a 2014 30 KQBSS and have not had any problems with it so far. Works out great for our family. We can get by for a weekend with the black tank but I bought a tote to carry with me for extended stays. Grey water usually fills up before the black tank.

The plumbing issue is very common. All the abs fittings get loose when these trailers are bouncing on the road while being moved. Also if you encounter doors not closing/sticking, check levelling on your trailer. These things are very flexible, they twist a lot. I levelled mine first when i got it to later find out that middle of it was 2" lower than the ends. Installed an another set of jacks in the middle by the wheels which took care of it plus the ocassional rocking.

We will keep ours another year maybe and them step up to a 5th wheel. I also had the plumbing leak from under the sink in the kitchen.

Our Hemi 282RK is great, a few initial drips in the kitchen, toilet connection, and warer heater, but nothing a light tweek with pliers didn't fix. Remember the plumbing is all plastic hose and compression fittings. The do work loose so a diligent eye is always a good thing. Use the pressure regulator when hooked up to a water source as the plastic hose and fittings don't like high pressures

Have fun and enjoy your KQBSS
