Newbie Salem owner

Just wanted to say hello. My wife and I bought a 2012 Salem 30QBSS this past July, took it out several times this summer, so far so good. It's all tucked away for winter, looking forward to next season. Hope everyone has a good holiday and winter.

Congrats on the new toy! Sure you will have many, many more wonderful times to come. I'm also enjoying my Salem.

Feel free to post pictures because we love pictures here.

Hopefully Santa will be good to me and bring an electric tongue jack. This is my first TT that I've owned but have been using my brothers TT for a few years. Graduated up from primitive camping to this.

No, although we really liked it and have nothing bad to say about it, we upgraded to a 5th wheel. Click image for larger version

I had mine for 2 years, can't think of any major issues. Simple and built well. The only warranty issue I had replaced was the awning, it was bubbling and delaminating. We wanted more space and I wanted a 5er. Overall it was a very nice trailer.

At the time I was using a 2006 F350 dually. Way more truck than needed, but it was for the future. That truck kept breaking down so I now have a '12 Ram 3500 dually. A 3/4 ton should pull the 30qbss just fine as long as the weight distribution hitch is properly set. It's a pretty heavy trailer compared to others.

We have had a 30 kqbss for 3 years now with no major issues, just a couple of cosmetic things.
Still love it. Had been towing with a 09 Ram 1500. Towed fine.

I have a 32BHDS Salem and my Dodge 2500 has no problem pulling it. Heavier than the one you talking about. Have had it since May of last year and our main problem was sealant on the outside everywhere but where it needed to be. Couple of leaks in the outside kitchen door and the vent for the vent a hood. Other than that, we love our Salem and cant wait to get it back out. That is if winter will ever leave.

I just have a 12 gmc 1500 with the heavy duty tow package. It pulls it fine enough around home. Oklahoma and Missouri. Would like a dually but maybe in the future.
