no spare tire on cruise lite 195BH

To 195BH owners, is it true that the trailer does not come with spare tire ?
I can't find spare tire on mine.
What do you all do with the spare tire ? Where to purchase one ?

We don't have the 195BH. We just purchased the Cruise Lite 171RBXl and it was told to us, by the dealer, that not all campers come equipped with spare tires. I think spares should be a standard feature when selling one, if not just for safety purpose.

Here are a couple of 195BH campers 2 Dealers are offering with spare tires included. I'm assuming it must a Dealer incentive, or not, depending on the selling price. Still, they should come standard with the camper. My opinion, of course.

I haven't had a Salem, but on both my 5ers and a lot of others we looked at, the spares were an option. We ordered both our campers with them.
Also on most car hauler/equipment trailers, and on a lot of boat trailers they are an option.

Its all about lowering the price point to get a sale.

Seems to me that anymore you need to pay extra for a spare. It was a $150 option for my TT. I got mine from Tractor Supply for $35. Last time I was in Walmart they had them as well....

I'm not a 195BH owner. Spare tire, don't leave home without it. Did the dealer try to sell you one?

Look for a rural supply store or what we have local around here, the likes of stores named - Rural King, Tractor Supply, Buchheit's or in the on-line world, I like e-trailer.

You can buy the spare rim and tire almost anywhere. Just make sure of matching the rim and tire size to your current wheels.

I drove 4 hours to KY to buy my TT and had to pay the dealer for the spare tire and four stabilizer jacks(options). They were competitive on the part prices but where they make extra money is in the labor for the "Installation". I had to laugh as I was charged to set the tire on the factory spare tire mounting lugs and tighten two lug nuts to hold it on.

For me, a learning lesson... Over all, I am still happy with the dealer.

Spare tire is usually a option but most dealers order the trailer with one.
Just like them ordering them with the optional a/c.

I believe the spares were optional and dealer installed. As they don't get shipped with them from the factory.

When we bought our first wildwood TT it didn't have a spare and the sales guy told us that FR made a decision not to include them for safety, said it's too danderous to be changing tires on side of road. That just didn't sound right so after we got home with new TT I called FR and they told me they have spares, but it was an option that some deals opt out of. So I called the new manager at CW and told him if I had known that I would have negotiated it in to the deal. Ended up getting the spare w mounting hardware.

No it is because it costs them $50 to put the spare on the trailer... Times that by 100,000 units and it adds up real fast. They deleted the tire so make more money. If they were ACTUALLY worried about safety then there would not be china bombs on the rigs to start with!

Just to be clear it was not a FR decision about "safety", the sales guy was not being honest when he told me that. It was the dealer that decided not to include spares.

I hear ya, my comment on making more money stands though. A spare should NOT EVEN BE an option. It should be required.

Our 195bh did not come with a spare, I agree it should be standard, but we are probably going to be replacing our factory tires and buying a spare before first outing this spring. Heard horror stories about the factory installed tires.

Man, that's a bad way for the dealer to make a few bucks! We bought a new little Salem Cruise 174BH last year and it must have been standard because the subject of buying it never came up. As the salesman walked us around it was one more item that was included.

Good luck getting one, I'd never leave home without one.
