We recently traded our Class C 1997 Shasta for a 2006 Salem 296RLSS Fiver. It did not have an owners manual. Does anyone have an electronic copy of theirs or a site where I can download a copy????

To my knowledge, the Salem manuals are pretty generic. I don't have an E-copy of one, but you might just get a paper copy ordered via a FR dealer.

The Forest River owners manual is generic period and covers everything they make, but not very well. It is a waste of a good tree. Find a good independent RV manual that covers most of the major systems of a trailer. While it may not be exactly as yours, neither is the Forest River manual.

You are better off learning things yourself. Manual is way toooooo generic as the others have said, really a waste of a good recycled newspaper!! If you need some answers just ask here, I'm sure someone has an answer for you.

I think Kim's answer pretty much covers the situation. Additionally, you can often find more specific information for your appliances, etc, including manuals in PDF form, in the support section of the various manufacturers' web sites.

Well will you look at this!! http://www.rvingthemidwestconnection...m#Forest_River
"Forest River: I spoke with a very nice gentleman at Forest River RV and he said all requests for owners manuals should be sent to [email protected]. Ron will direct them to the correct division (they have 46) and they will send you the manual you need. He also indicated they are working on their web site so manuals can be obtained online - coming soon!!! Thanks Forest River, we appreciate your help."
Not sure how old that advice is, but worth trying!
