Range Vent and Smoke Detector

I can't find the Range Vent exhaust port. Does the Hemisphere only have a fan and filter? No outside venting? Every time we cook something we set off the smoke detector. It's so sensitive, we set it off using our toaster and there wasn't even any smoke!

Look at the front of the hood. See any louvers? if you do it blows back in your face. It is useless junk. The filter may stop some grease but that's it. You get the smoke. You can install a wall vent behind the hood as it is designed for. I'm doing mine this week.

I know you believe that you understand what you think I said but I'm sure you realize that what you heard is not what I meant
